The red jasper is an opaque stone, in which the power of light has not manifested yet. It comes in a variety of colors, combinations and patterns. When polished, it makes a beautiful jewel, reminding us of the colors of the earth. It is a humble and common stone, highly regarded as the mother of all stones, for it carries powerful magical properties. Here is the first transformer, where the earth’s energy is changed into human energy. It symbolizes strength, vitality, the physical nature. It adds stimulus that enters the body from the sacral centers and the solar plexus.
Red jasper as highly respected in Peru, and was believed to protect against witchcraft. It sometimes becomes dull in the process of protecting its wearer from negativity or danger because it absorbs vibrations. Because of its qualities, it aids the liver and can help restore the sense of smell.
After working with the stone for a while, I had a dream that jasper relates to having a strong foundation. We must pass through the jasper, and I was reminded that the Pope’s ring is jasper - the sumbol of the rock, the foundation of the chruch.
